hey HN we're working on a project to make high-end GPUs like H100s and B200s more accessible to everyone in the AI/ML space. right now, if you want to spin up a cluster of these GPUs on-demand, you’re typically stuck with either insane hourly prices or long-term contracts.
that’s brutal for startups, indie researchers, labs, students.
basically anyone who can’t drop a ton of cash upfront.
what we’re building
we’ve created a marketplace where you can buy and sell GPU capacity in a more flexible, market-driven way—think options, forwards, and even futures on GPU compute. if you’ve ever wanted to lock in GPU time next month at a certain price, or speculate on the future price of compute, you can do that here.
our focus is on unlocking GPU resources for AI folks.
why this matters
lower costs: by using a transparent order book for GPU capacity, the hope is to drive down prices to more realistic, demand-based levels.
flexible schedules: instead of getting tied into a yearlong deal, you can grab GPU hours for exactly the window you need using 24h contracts
hedging risk: if you’re worried about GPU prices spiking (hello training runs at peak times), you can lock in usage now. If you’ve got spare capacity, you can sell it for a premium when demand is high.
we’re still in closed beta but hoping to open up soon. we’d love your thoughts on the concept, especially from folks who’ve struggled with GPU availability or run big AI/ML workloads. also interested in feedback on the financial instruments side—trading “compute futures” is kind of new territory.
thanks for checking this out, and let us know if you’ve got any questions/ideas/thoughts/access to beta
