If you celebrate CEOs getting fired, regardless of if the controversial policies changed or not (in both listed cases, as far as I can remember, both policies are still in use), then you aren't celebrating progress, are you?
Its not punishing anyone when companies intentionally cycle CEOs specifically to avoid responsibility. Its accepting exactly what the company wants customers to accept.
